We are pleased to announce that Gillian Kelly has been appointed as the Trust’s Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
Gillian has been Interim Chief Nurse at the Trust since May, covering the full CNO portfolio, as well as Executive Director for Allied Health Professionals and Psychological Professions.
She is no stranger to the Trust, having rejoined in December 2016 as Deputy Chief Nurse.
Gillian has a broad range of mental health nursing experience, having worked at deputy director level for more than 10 years, and at a senior level in mental health and integrated health settings for the last 20 years. Her experience has been pivotal in our transformation journey at the Trust in moving towards providing an integrated care approach for our patients and service users.
She holds an MSc in Psychotherapeutic Approaches and an MA in Consultation and the Organisation.
Gillian said: “I’m delighted to be appointed as the Trust’s Chief Nursing Officer. It’s a privilege to have this opportunity at a Trust that I hold dear and have been a part of for more than two decades. I look forward to working with our Board, partners, our staff and service users to deliver excellent and compassionate care to all who use our services.”
Maria O’Brien, Chief Executive at West London NHS Trust, said: “I am delighted that Gillian will be permanently joining the Trust Board as our Chief Nursing Officer. She holds an impressive range of experience across the full range of services that we provide, and is an asset to the Trust. I look forward to continuing to work closely with her as she leads our Nursing, Allied Health Professionals and Psychological Professions across West London to deliver the best possible care for our patients and an exceptional working experience for our staff.”
Gillian’s appointment follows the departure in June 2024 of former Trust CNO Stephanie Bridger, who was appointed CNO for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Trust.
