We are pleased to announce that the Hammersmith & Fulham Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Service (CIDS) has been awarded accreditation by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the incredible staff within West London NHS Trust.
The Memory Services National Accreditation Programme (MSNAP) is a quality improvement and accreditation network for services that assess, diagnose, and treat dementia patients in the UK. This accreditation, which lasts up to three years, highlights the service’s commitment to maintaining high standards and continuous improvement.
About the Service
CIDS in Hammersmith and Fulham is a dedicated team within the Older People’s Mental Health Service. They are devoted to providing support and guidance to individuals with dementia and their families.
Melanie Barlow, Interim Clinical Director Older People’s Mental Health Service, stated: “The MSNAP accreditation not only reassures our patients and carers of our excellence but also demonstrates the high standards we strive to achieve.
“It allows us to share knowledge with other memory clinics nationally and confirms that we are among the top-performing memory clinics in the country.”
About the Accreditation
MSNAP is provided by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the professional body responsible for education, training, and setting standards in psychiatry. This accreditation assures patients, their families, carers, frontline staff, commissioners, and managers that the service provides high-quality care, exceeds quality standards, and is committed to continuous improvement within the service.
