We are proud to announce that the Ealing Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR) team has been accredited by the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services Accreditation Scheme (PRSAS).
This incredible achievement recognises the team's hard work and dedication to providing excellent care for patients in Ealing.
The accreditation process took place on Thursday 3 October 2024, when the Ealing PR team underwent a rigorous assessment by PRSAS.
The assessors praised the service as outstanding, with particular emphasis on its patient-centred approach. The leadership team was also commended for its drive towards excellence over the past two years.
Supported by the Royal College of Physicians' Accreditation Unit, the PRSAS aims to ensure that services meet national standards, offering quality assurance for patients and commissioners alike.
The assessment team, made up of clinical and lay assessors, spent the day conducting interviews with staff, service leads, patients, and carers on site, thoroughly evaluating the service’s standards.
Dr Stephanie Griffiths, MSK and Rehabilitation Lead, said: "The Ealing Pulmonary Rehabilitation service has been working towards accreditation for the past two years, and we are now incredibly proud to be accredited by PRSAS. This is a testament to the team’s relentless commitment to delivering outstanding care for our patients. It also highlights the teamwork across Pulmonary Rehab and our other community services. We will continue to strive for excellence in all we do."
The accreditation is a formal recognition of the Ealing PR team's commitment to quality care and continuous improvement
The day’s assessment included interviews with patients and carers, offering a well-rounded evaluation of both staff performance and patient experiences. PRSAS works in collaboration with the National Respiratory Audit Programme, ensuring that audit data supports evidence of good practice and drives ongoing improvements.
This accreditation marks a major milestone for the Ealing Pulmonary Rehabilitation service and sets a new standard for community teams across London.
