The Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPSYCH) has published a helpful resource on autism and mental health.
The document explains what autism is, how it’s diagnosed and what support is available for autistic people. It also looks at the kind of care autistic people with mental health problems are entitled to.
It is aimed at autistic adults and their families and carers, but might also be helpful for younger people.
