On the 74th birthday of the NHS, our staff, volunteers and community members put their brew crew’s together and celebrated!
West London NHS Trust Big Tea was an outpouring of love, thanks, and generosity for the people who’ve gone above and beyond to care for us this year – our NHS staff.
Staff at Clayponds hospital were visited by Ealing, Southall MP Mr Virendra Sharma who thanked staff for their continued hard work and dedication; “It’s always a delight to meet all the hardworking staff across the NHS. As we celebrate the 74th birthday of our National Health Service, I would like to thank each and every staff member who continues to work so tirelessly to deliver crucial work.”
The event also marked the re-launch of the West London NHS Trust Charity. The Charity has been re-branded with a fresh new look marking a new chapter in its plans for fundraising for service users and staff at the Trust.
During the event, the Charity unveiled a memorial bench in the name of Emily Martin who worked at the hospital for many years as a healthcare assistant and sadly passed away during the pandemic.
Elizabeth Rantzen, Chair of the West London Trust Charity said: “It has been wonderful that the Charity has been able to support so many really worthwhile projects like this, over the last two years for the benefit of our staff and our patients and carers. This is solely because of the immense efforts of individuals to raise funds that has made a real difference to the experiences of so many people - thank you to everyone who has helped.”
Carolyn Regan, CEO also thanked the staff “it’s been a real privilege to be here with you all today to not only celebrate the 74th birthday of the NHS but to witness the community spirt and camaraderie that still shines through. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all those continuing to work tirelessly on the front line and behind the scenes.”
