We’re delighted to share that our Allied Health Professions (AHP) International Recruitment team has been shortlisted for a Chief Allied Health Professions Officer (CAHPO) Award. 

The team has been shortlisted for the AHP Workforce Transformation Award and is led by Krupa Patel, AHP Leadership Fellow for International Recruitment, and Michelle Nielsen and Chrystal Ahmet, international recruitment coordinators,

The shortlisting stated: "The team made an impact by significantly reducing vacancies, supporting and retaining staff with dynamic pastoral support, contributing towards inclusive leadership, and the goal of delivering high-quality patient care."

Helen Lycett, Associate Director for AHPs at West London NHS Trust, said: “I am delighted to see the AHP international recruitment team shortlisted for a prestigious CAHPO award. They have worked tirelessly to ensure our internationally trained staff have a positive experience of coming into the Trust, and their track record speaks for itself. The Chief Allied Health Professions Officer (CAHPO) in the UK is a senior leadership role within the National Health Service (NHS). This office represents and provides professional leadership for Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) across the country and is responsible for shaping policy, providing guidance, and advocating for the interests and development of AHPs within the healthcare system.

The CAHPO Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of AHPs, support workers, and their teams within the NHS and the wider health and care system.
