Ahead of World Diabetes Day on Thursday 14 November, Surinder Heran, Diabetes Specialist Nurse and Diljit Sidhu, Diabetes Specialist Dietitian at West London NHS Trust, appeared on local Southall radio station, Desi Radio, to discuss all things diabetes, including common symptoms, complications, treatments and local support services.
They also promoted the upcoming World Diabetes Day health screening event, being hosted by the Trust’s Community Diabetes Team, together with the Southall Community Alliance on Thursday 14 November, from 10am to 2pm at Southall Town Hall, UB1 3HA.
The event is open to everyone in the community, and no appointment is needed. The team will conduct blood testing, blood pressure checks, waist checks, lung function screening and more.
