50 years tea.pngTwo West London employees have been honoured by the Trust at a special event to mark them achieving more than 50 years’ substantive service to the NHS.

Amarpreet Gill and Krishna Prashar attended an afternoon cream tea at Trust HQ with Chief Executive Maria O’Brien and Executive Directors to celebrate the milestone achievement.

Amarpreet, a facilities technician in West London Forensic Services, began working for the NHS in 1974, and joined the Trust in 1997.

Krishna, a health visitor in Hounslow Community Health, began working in the NHS in 1968 and joined the Trust last year.

The special event was organised by Alison Webster, Director of Organisational Development, in recognition of the outstanding contribution that Amarpreet and Krishna have made to the NHS during their careers.

Amarpreet and Krishna each invited a guest to join the celebrations as they reflected on their time within the NHS.

Krishna said: “It was great to have my 56 years of NHS service being celebrated and acknowledged!

“I have relished opportunities and I have actively engaged and witnessed many changes in nursing and health visiting throughout my career.

“I have fond memories of helping my patients and I have enjoyed working with inspiring people along my journey.”

 

Maria O’Brien, said: “50 years’ substantive service in the NHS is a remarkable and rare achievement.

“It was an honour meeting with Amarpreet and Krishna to celebrate this exceptional milestone with them and hear about their experiences in the NHS spanning half a century.

“I am incredibly grateful to both of them for the dedication and commitment they have shown to their patients and colleagues over the last 50 years, and wish them the very best in the future.”
