The Trust is celebrating after one of its nurses won an Inside out Award.
Melville Jimmy Garber, or Jimmy, as he's known to his friends and colleagues, was awarded the Behind the Scenes Champion - Large Employer Award.
The award is given to an individual who has worked behind the scenes to create the biggest impact on the mental health agenda.
Jimmy was awarded specifically for his work on a training package focusing on de-escalation techniques for mental health professionals working on acute wards.
Jimmy said: “I won the Inside Out Award mainly due to my work around the unique and different De-escalation Techniques for All – referring to my training package being now implemented within the Trust and also within Ealing Hospital A&E, applicable to all disciplines and professions.
“The engaging QR digital booklet was devised by Harshil Gajjar – Learning & Development.
"The training is face to face, non-contact, built upon empathy, care and compassion, buzzing with scenario videos and engaging role play.
“The training will complement and not replace the amazing work being done by the PMVA team around PMVA and Breakaway. Adverts for sessions will be going out soon within Local Services.”
