The Trust’s Community Eating Disorders Service is hosting a workshop for carers and family and friends of service users. The skills-based session will take place online on Wednesday 29 January 2025, from 10am to 4pm on Microsoft Teams and is open to anyone supporting a loved one with an eating disorder.
The workshop aims to:
-
Equip participants with tools to better support their loved ones
-
Increase understanding of eating disorders
-
Offer techniques for dealing with difficulties created by these conditions.
Recognising the significant impact eating disorders have on both patients and their support networks, the workshop offers a mix of presentations, group discussions, and interactive exercises. You’ll gain insights into treatment, learn how to support recovery, and build skills to navigate the emotional challenges that come with supporting a loved one with an eating disorder.
