Clozapine Clinic

Changes to service due to Covid

Clozapine clinics in each borough continue to operate with the availability of home visits for patients who are shielding.

Patients are reminded to contact their treating physician if any kind of infection begins to develop.

Medication will be administered in the team base or at the patient’s home as indicated.

The Clozapine clinic aims to ensure that all users of clozapine are managed and monitored in a timely, safe and appropriate manner.

The clinic is run by a full time clinic coordinator, a senior pharmacist, a consultant psychiatrist and a phlebotomist.

The clinic aims to centralise and coordinate care of clozapine users, monitor side effects, and educate both users and carers about their illness and all aspects of clozapine treatment.
